The 2000 series idlers from Hewitt-Robins are the latest in quality product design and manufacturing. These idlers meet and exceed CEMA C standards and are available in both sealed and regreasable design. The 2000-S™ idler roll from Hewitt-Robins is a sealed design incorporating 3/4" modified geometry, tapered roller bearings and Water and Dust Safe™ seals. A grease-filled horizontal labyrinth seal, contact lip seal and rear seal, are used in combination to provide the ultimate in sealed idler design. In addition, an external shield and flinger are designed to divert contaminants away from the bearing cavity. The 2000-R™ idler roll is supplied with the same bearing as the 2000S™ and has six levels of bearing protection. In addition, the 2000-R™ idler roll features a one point relubrication system. All six bearings are greased from a single grease fitting. The pressure relief valve on the opposite end of the idler ensures that all bearings are properly greased, opens to release excess grease, and relieves internal pressure to protect each seal. The large grease reservoir design for the 2000-R™ idler roll allows for longer life between relubrication cycles. These idlers are a continuation of our commitment to quality product design and manufacturing techniques available to our customers for over 100 years. |
